Soy milk - in moderation

Hi,
about soy milk: it's full of natural hormones (i found out just how "full" through my own negative experience). About 2 years ago, when i had migraine, i decided to try and switch from regular milk to the soy milk - because i drank a lot of coffee with milk. It came to almost a liter of milk a day.
Slowly, pains started appearing during monthly periods, stronger and stronger pains, resembling birth pains after a few months. Doctors.., myoma.., possibility of operation...I'm very worried, naturally.
Again, i spoke casually with my pharmacist and she said: "Why don't you try and reduce hormone rich foods? Like soy milk and.."
I stopped drinking soy milk and symptoms disappeared gradually. Real physical problem can arise from intaking too much soy.

Why did i have to get such information by chance? The good doctor could mention this link between hormone rich foods and myoma when he made the observation.
